The long-term development goal of the Socio-economic Impact Team is to establish an operational impact assessment model of ex-ante/post evaluation for policy projects or national sci-tech programs. Through practical operations and practicing the Team gradually develops qualified analysis methodologies and delivers concrete research output for policy makers’ references.
The impact analysis for policy projects mainly focuses on how the modern technologies advance local industries in terms of output value, employment, salary structure and etc. The impact analysis for national sci-tech programs concentrates on developing monitoring system for quantitative indicators. It combines the Government Research Bulletin (GRB), research project reports, expert review reports and other relevant databases (patent and literature) to facilitate the sci-tech program initiatives and impact analysis.
